In fact mobile phones have become a part of everyone's day-to-day life. How and why has it become such a vital device is a interesting question to answer, the answer is very simple it has every possible feature for making our life simple.

We see people in public places like bus stop, subway station, food court, baseball stadium, basket ball game and every possible place, totally engrossed in their mobile with their eyes staring directly into the mobile screen and their hands making rapid movements over the keypad. We very well know what's they a doing, typing a short message (SMS) to their buddies planning for parties or to their girlfriend asking for a date or in the worst case giving some animated explanations to their teacher for their absence in class or for failing the their term exams.

We use messaging which is also informally called as texting in our American slang in all occasions. We use it for conveying birthday wishes, wedding anniversary wishes and even to express our heart felt concern for a person who is facing a difficult situation. But messaging means a larger domain than just text messaging. There are flash messages, Multimedia message services (MMS) and even voice messages. MMS is used to send pictures, animations, videos along with audio and even graphical contents can be sent through it. Messaging to many users at the same time has brought in a new field of market in called as mobile marketing, where companies market themselves by providing information about their service, recent discounts available and benefits available for the user by using their services.
